Antibiotics and Your Child’s Gut

As your children grow up they are given antibiotics for the treatment of earaches, sore throats and other infections but unfortunately the antibiotic ends up wiping out their normal, healthy bacterial lining that plays a significant role in their health. Without this essential bacteria present in their gut, they are prone to chronic infections, nutrient deficiencies and faulty digestion. It can take up to six months to rebuild the bacterial lining after just one round of antibiotics It is essential to supplement with probiotics after any course of antibiotics.
